Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why do I need clean gutters?

Debris and leaves building up in your gutters can prevent proper drainage. Most people aren't aware of this until there is a downpour in winter flooding the roof space and causing damage to the ceiling. To avoid this, we generally recommend an annual gutter clean, usually in autumn before the main rains and storms begin.

Having your gutters cleaned is also a key strategy to protect your home during bushfire season. Airborne embers can travel for hundreds of meters and ignite the dry leaves in your gutters. If you live in a bushfire-risk area, we recommend an annual gutter clean in spring before the hot summer weather arrives.

Q: Why should I have my gutters cleaned professionally?

Gutter cleaning by hand is time-consuming and can be risky. Having your gutters cleaned professionally saves you both the time and the risk and you get a more thorough clean. You don't even have to be at home - we only require access to your driveway, so we can do the job any time.

Q: Do you have insurance?

Yes, we are fully insured.

Q: Should I bother with Gutter Guard?

We generally don't recommend the use of gutter guard. When it's not installed properly it can leave gaps or lose its shape, allowing debris to become stuck on top, beside and between the gutter guard - this actually makes gutters more difficult to clean. Even when it is well installed, twigs and leaves will accumulate on top of the gutters and, if left unchecked, can still break down and build up underneath the gutter guard.

Ultimately, gutter guard is a short-term solution to a long-term problem; any property with nearby trees will eventually have a build-up of leaves and debris. The surest way to prevent a problem with your gutters is to have them professionally cleaned on a regular basis.

Q: Is there a risk of damaging my garden beds?

We don't need to walk around your property to clean your gutters and so there is no risk of your garden beds being trampled. We reverse up to the house via the driveway, climb on to the roof and from

there we use our specialised 40-metre hose that enables us to clean the gutters all the way around the property.

Q: What if my roof tiles get broken?

We rarely damage any roof tiles as the utmost care is taken to prevent this, however, if a roof tile does get cracked or broken we will repair or replace it for you before leaving the job.

Q: How can I pay after my gutters are cleaned?

We accept cash, cheque and credit card or can leave you an invoice on the day. We are also happy to send an invoice through email and receive payment via EFT if you prefer.
